I’ve always enjoyed a good beer. I started out like a lot of people drinking the standards. Bud, Coors, etc. Then I got introduced to the world of craft brews and I really took a liking to them. I’ve tried a bunch of different ones since then and have enjoyed most all of them. It has been quite a long time since I’ve enjoyed a good beer, I thought it would be fun to try a new feature on my blog and write a little personal review of the new (and old) beers that I try. I figured that since I won’t really be able to enjoy these tasty creations as often as I used to, that when I do, I could write about it to not only keep the experience new and exciting, but to share my thoughts with those who also enjoy a good beer. Throughout this little experiment I will have a few guest writers sharing their thoughts on their favorite brews. Keep in mind, I am no professional “food critic” you may agree with what I say, you may think I am totally wrong. That’s cool. I’m just sharing my thoughts. Hope you enjoy!

I noticed right away how smooth the beer is. It doesn’t have the sharp bite that most craft beers have. It has hops but not those bitter kind that give other beers a sharp bite. It has a darkness almost like Guinness, but it doesn’t feel as thick to the pallet as Guinness does. I noticed that a lot of the other beers I have tried seem overly carbonated (much like soda) but this has that carbonation, but it doesn’t last long enough where you find yourself feeling like your throat is on fire. Chocolate. I taste chocolate. Roasted… something. (I told you earlier I am not very good at this sort of thing.) Some kind of nut. Nutty. I really like this. The finish on it is subtle. Not something that lingers too much, but you can taste it afterwards and enjoy it.
I think that makes for a good first one. I’m going to go and finish this.
Until next time…
